A huge THANK YOU to our HCS CTE Construction/Carpentry students working in the wood shop! 👏🏾🛠️

I started trying to put this nightstand together myself… and eventually I just gave up. 😂 The students saw it as a challenge, jumped right in, and had it put together in no time!

What impressed me most wasn’t just the finished product—it was watching our students use their skills, problem-solving, teamwork, and confidence to complete a real-world task.

This is what hands-on learning is all about: giving students opportunities to take what they’re learning and put it into action.

Great job, students! I appreciate you accepting the challenge—and saving me from that nightstand! 😂💪🏾

👏WELCOME TO HCS: HCS is proud to welcome Dr. Ty Parker as the district's new Fine Arts Coordinator! Dr. Parker joins HCS after serving for six years as Fine Arts Director and Director of Bands for Athens City Schools.
