Who is OLLI at UAH? -- YOU ARE! The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) is a membership-based community of mature adults who enjoy learning and want to spend time with like-minded individuals. OLLI's mission is to foster accessible lifelong learning, individual growt
h, and social connection for retired or semi-retired adults learners age 50+ by providing stimulating opportunities to enrich the intellectual, social, and cultural lives of members, regardless of educational background. Enjoy life, make friends, and Never Stop Learning with OLLI at UAH! OLLI provides non-credit courses, special lectures, social events, theatre outings, and field trips in the U.S. No specific background is required to join, just an interest in academic learning, the desire to participate actively with your peers, and an open mind. In the early years (1993), the program was called The Academy of Lifelong Learning. In 2005, the Bernard Osher Foundation approached the UAH Division of Professional and Continuing Studies (now the College of Professional Studies) about becoming a part of the OLLI network, and in 2006, it officially became an OLLI program. We are funded in part by the Bernard Osher Foundation, which supports educational programs, arts, and integrative medicine centers. OLLI at UAH is one of 125 institutes in all 50 states funded by the Foundation. For more information on the Bernard Osher Foundation visit the OLLI National Resource Center at http://usm.maine.edu/olli/national/. To those of you who have been a part of OLLI at UAH over the years, we thank you, and we look forward to offering you more of the programs you have come to enjoy. To those new or prospective members, we welcome you to our program, and we hope that you will enjoy participating in all we have to offer. So sit back, relax and take some time to look at our offerings. View our latest course guide at Osher.uah.edu/CourseGuide or learn more about OLLI at UAH on our website Osher.uah.edu.

Wanna sip on your coffee and enjoy the fall weather? Have a seat on the new OLLI bench right outside the Wilson Hall lobby. Apparently, it's comfortable enough to nap on.
