Been busy today.

When I build a white rod, I can’t decide if I like color all the way on the guides or color on the label then switch to white on the guides. What looks best?

A couple of my latest builds.

Latest customer picked a Seafoam green blank with bright yellow wraps. I wasn’t so sure at first but I gotta say, I like it!

After a couple months of trying to hit a golf ball, decided it’s time to start fishing again.

A couple interesting repairs have come into the shop. First, I have guides held on with braid and superglue that need to be re-done. These have not been easy to remove. Second, this blank is damaged but customer says it fishes fine. Plan is to make a long wrap then epoxy to try and stabilize this.

The rod shop has been busy lately. Got a few rods done and working on other orders. Found a new green I like, called Sage.

Went down to ICAST to talk to Batson, American Tackle and Mud Hole about pricing. It was amazing, pros everywhere pitching product, and some cool new gear coming out. I had to get a pic with one of my heros and a true legend.

Latest customer is a big Ohio St fan so we did school colors. I have lots of choices on blank colors.

Sometimes it’s hard to pick out a color!
