Whitesburg Middle School is definitely going to miss Mr. King! Thank you for always supporting students and staff, keeping us laughing with your witty sense of humor, and being such a great person to work with! You brought leadership, encouragement, and a whole lot of personality to WBMS, and we are so thankful for the impact you’ve made here.

This week, Whitesburg Middle’s PLTW students competed in the Mars Mission Challenge at Huntsville Center for Technology. One of our groups, Explorers of Mars, won best presentation and 1st place overall for their habitat and lander designs.

🎓 HCS will host commencement ceremonies on Thursday, May 21 and Friday, May 22 at the VBC Arena (700 Monroe Street).

Whitesburg Family,

What a year it has been. We have made great strides in getting our attendance up. Our ACCESS scores have come in and we did great. I am confident that we will increase our School Report Card Score a great deal.

It has been my pleasure to be the Assistant Principal at Whitesburg for three years in the past, and the principal for the past four years. My time at Whitesburg has been challenging but very rewarding.

It is time for me to move on. I will be moving to a different job in the next few weeks. It was approved at last night's board meeting. I will be the Transportation Coordinator for HCS. The support that has been given to me over the years is greatly appreciated and my time at the Burg will always be special. ROAR LIONS!
