Huge shout out to our community partner
Whitesburg Animal Hospital Enrichment. They completed a school supply drop on our behalf and the results were absolutely phenomenal. Thank you to everyone who donated to the school supply drive and to Whitesburg Animal Hospital for their continued support of our scholars.

ASFL Science Fair Preparations Are Underway!

Science Fair season is officially in motion at ASFL Middle School! Our scholars have been busy brainstorming, questioning, and preparing to put their scientific thinking into action.

This week, scholars submitted their five potential Science Fair topics and worked with their science teachers to have one topic officially approved!

Next Up: Research Questions & Hypothesis!

Scholars will begin digging deeper into their approved topics, developing strong research questions, and creating a testable hypothesis to guide their investigations.

We can’t wait to see their curiosity turn into experiments, discoveries, and innovative projects.

Your enthusiasm, smiles, school spirit, and support made the event so special. We are grateful for our amazing school community and for everyone who took the time to come out, participate, and celebrate the power of education with us.

Events like this remind us that educating our scholars is truly a team effort, and we are so thankful to have such wonderful teachers, families, and community members cheering them on every step of the way.

We are excited to share Academy for Science and Foreign Languages Middle teacher, Mariah Warren, has been named a Society for Science
Advocate! The Society Advocate Program empowers educators to help students pursue original
research opportunities and participate in science competitions, helping them build confidence,
strengthen critical thinking skills and discover new pathways into science and engineering.

Parents, please plan to join us this Thursday for Parent tech night beginning at 4:30. Any scholars who want to audition for robotics or Future City need to pick up a permission slip from the front office in order to be able to audition.
