Huntsville City Schools and offices will dismiss early on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, due to the potential of severe weather and rapidly evolving weather conditions.

Dismissals will occur at the following times:

-11:30 AM: Elementary Schools
-12 PM: Middle and Junior High Schools (including all grades for AAA and ASFL)
-12:40 PM: High Schools

Buses will be running for all schools. All after-school athletics and extracurricular activities will not occur.

HCS officials will continue to monitor conditions and inform families of any additional updates.

Today we’re celebrating Jordan! From gentle cuddles to engaging with our babies during tummy time, she creates a calm, loving space where our littlest ones feel safe and cared for! We are so grateful for the patience and kindness she provides every day.
