๐ We are very excited to announce new head volleyball coach, Shelby Dove (Bates)! She was board approved tonight and is eager to begin her career as a high school teacher and head coach.
๐ Volleyball families - be on the lookout for a parent/player meeting to include team and season information.

No MCSS Athletics practices, camps, or competitions will begin before 9AM tomorrow morning, Monday, June 8. Road conditions will be reevaluated to determine if any additional delays or cancellations are necessary
- MCSS 2 HOUR DELAY - JUNE 8, 2026 -
Madison County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay tomorrow, Monday, June 8, due to potential flooding and hazardous road conditions across portions of our district.
While traditional classes are not currently in session, this delay may impact summer learning programs, student activities, district operations, and any transportation services operating tomorrow. Buses will run two hours later than their normal schedule.
District officials will continue to monitor conditions and reassess roadways early tomorrow morning. If any additional changes become necessary, families and staff will be notified as soon as possible.

Softball family, join us in welcoming our new Head Softball Coach!
Tatiasha โTJโ Webster is a Huntsville native and a 2019 graduate of Sparkman High School. As a freshman shortstop in 2016, she helped lead Sparkman to a state championship before continuing her softball career at Western Kentucky University.
At WKU, Webster was starting shortstop and played a key role in the teamโs 2021 Conference USA Championship. Throughout her college career, she earned several honors, including First Team All-CUSA, All-Tournament Team recognition, and NFCA Third Team All-Region honors. In 2024, she was named the first Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year.
After college, Webster continued her playing career professionally with the Chattanooga Steam.
Webster has served as an assistant coach at Sparkman High School for the past two years.
