Tri-State Literacy Council

Tri-State Literacy Council Tri-State Literacy Council promotes adult literacy in reading, writing, and math. Many tutor/learner pairs work together for many years.

Tri-State Literacy Council works with adult learners at any literacy level, whether they are learning the alphabet, learning English, or preparing to obtain a high school equivalency diploma. Each student, after registering with TSLC and taking a preliminary assessment, is matched with a basic literacy certified tutor. The pair meet at least one hour per week to work toward that individual’s literacy goals. We would hope that the tutor and adult learner would set a goal of working together for at least one year.
