Long before the first bell rings, our next staff member is hard at work helping take care of Altizer!

Today’s Meet the Staff spotlight is Mr. Bills, our Head Custodian!

Mr. Bills plays an important role in keeping our school clean, safe, and ready for learning each day. From taking care of our building and tackling unexpected problems to helping with the countless behind-the-scenes tasks that keep a school running smoothly, he is always there when something needs to be done!

A welcoming school starts with people who take pride in caring for it, and we’re incredibly thankful for the hard work and dedication Mr. Bills gives to Altizer and our Scottie family each day!

Sometimes our Scotties need a little extra encouragement, a listening ear, or someone to help them work through a tough moment—and that’s where our next staff member comes in!

Today’s Meet the Staff spotlight is Mrs. Korne, our school counselor!

Mrs. Korne shares her time between Altizer and another school, but she is an important part of our Scottie family! Whether she’s helping students navigate emotions, build friendships, solve problems, or develop skills that help them succeed in and out of the classroom, Mrs. Korne provides a caring and supportive space for our students.

We’re so thankful for the compassion and encouragement Mrs. Korne brings to Altizer and for all she does to help our Scotties learn, grow, and thrive!

From scraped knees and tummy aches to daily medications and everything in between, our next staff member helps keep our Scotties healthy, safe, and cared for!

Today’s Meet the Staff spotlight belongs to the amazing Nurse Wendy, our school nurse!

Nurse Wendy does so much more than hand out Band-Aids and ice packs! She provides compassionate care when students aren’t feeling their best, supports their health needs throughout the school day, and is always there with a helping hand and a caring heart when our Scotties need her most.

Having someone our students and families can count on makes such a difference, and we’re incredibly thankful for all that Nurse Wendy does to take care of our Altizer family each and every day!

Every Scottie deserves the opportunity to find their voice and be heard!

For today’s Meet the Staff spotlight, we’re excited to introduce Mrs. Morrison, our Speech-Language Pathologist!

Mrs. Morrison works with students to strengthen important speech, language, and communication skills that help them succeed both in the classroom and beyond. Whether she’s helping a student communicate more clearly, build language skills, or grow more confident expressing themselves, she celebrates progress every step of the way.

We’re so thankful for the patience, encouragement, and expertise Mrs. Morrison brings to our Scotties and for the important role she plays in helping our students communicate with confidence!

Today’s Meet the Staff spotlight is Ms. Morris, one of our Special Education teachers! 📚✨

Ms. Morris serves Altizer part-time, working with students to provide additional support, encouragement, and instruction based on their individual learning needs. She is another important piece of the team working together to help ensure every Scottie has opportunities to learn, grow, and experience success.

We’re grateful for the time, care, and dedication Ms. Morris shares with our students and are so happy to have her as part of the Altizer family!

Our next Meet the Staff spotlight features someone who helps our Scotties build their skills, boost their confidence, and discover just how much they’re capable of!

Meet Mrs. Pannell, our Reading and Math Interventionist—and one of our go-to people for all things technology!

During the school day, Mrs. Pannell works with students in 2nd and 3rd grade, providing targeted instruction and extra support in reading and math. Through small-group instruction and individualized interventions, she helps students strengthen important skills, tackle challenges, and celebrate their progress along the way.

Mrs. Pannell also provides after-school tutoring for students in Kindergarten through 2nd Grade, giving our youngest Scotties even more opportunities to learn and grow.

And when technology decides not to cooperate, there’s a good chance you’ll hear, “Ask Mrs. Pannell!” As Altizer’s SYSOP, she helps support the technology needs of our students and staff and works behind the scenes to help keep our devices and digital resources running smoothly.

From reading and math to tutoring and technology, Mrs. Pannell stays busy helping Scotties and staff alike! We’re thankful for the many ways she supports our Altizer family each day.

It’s time to turn the page to another wonderful member of our Altizer team for today’s Meet the Staff spotlight!

Meet Mrs. Wonnell, our Title I Reading teacher!

Mrs. Wonnell works with students in Kindergarten through Fifth Grade, providing additional instruction and support to help strengthen the reading skills they’re still developing. From building strong foundational skills to helping students become more fluent, confident readers, she meets our Scotties where they are and helps them take those important next steps.

We’re so thankful to have Mrs. Wonnell helping our students grow as readers and discover just how much their confidence can grow with every page they turn!

For today’s Meet the Staff spotlight, we’re adding up all the reasons we’re thankful for our next staff member!

Meet Mr. Teters, our Title I Math teacher!

Mr. Teters works with students in Kindergarten through 5th grade, providing extra instruction and support in the math skills they need a little more help mastering. Whether he’s helping students strengthen foundational skills, work through a challenging concept, or celebrate that exciting “I got it!” moment, Mr. Teters helps our Scotties grow as confident mathematicians.

We’re so thankful to have Mr. Teters supporting learners throughout Altizer and helping our Scotties discover that their math skills really do add up to success!

Every student deserves someone in their corner cheering them on, and today we’re highlighting one of the special people at Altizer who does just that!

Many of you may know her as Ms. Sansom or Ms. Maddie, but she goes by a new name now! Meet Mrs. Bostic, one of our dedicated Special Education teachers!

Mrs. Bostic works to help students recognize their strengths, overcome challenges, and experience success in ways that meet their individual learning needs. Through collaboration, encouragement, and plenty of support along the way, she helps our Scotties grow in both their skills and their confidence.

We’re thankful for the care and dedication Mrs. Bostic brings to our students and our Altizer family each day!
