Gunnar was an amazing kid who came from an amazing family that is gone far too soon. He had so much love for life and baseball. It’s sad to see a life taken so soon. His infectious smile will be missed by everyone he ever came into contact with. With this being said will be collecting donations for the family to assist with funeral costs. It is with profound sadness and very heavy hearts that we share the tragic loss of one of our baseball family members, Gunner Howard, his mother, Hannah and his sister, Peyton.

Gunner brought joy, energy and a love for the game that touched teammates, coaches and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. While his time with us was far too short, the impact the Howards made on our baseball family will never be forgotten.

During this incredibly difficult time, we ask our community to keep their family, friends, teammates and all those affected in your thoughts and prayers.

As a baseball family, we will stand together, support one another, and honor the memory of a young player who will forever be a part of our team.

No lessons this week. I will be out of town until June 8th!

Canaan has had a couple hitting lessons and I got this picture 2 hours after a lesson. In that lesson, we worked on posture and back knee drive. Can anyone point that out for me? Great swing bud! Matt Maynard
