ursing major. Students are admitted into the nursing major in the first semester of the junior year through a competitive ranking of academic performance and other qualifications, such as meeting the essential abilities of the nursing profession. During your first two years at Huntington, you will take rigorous courses in human anatomy and physiology, chemistry, and core courses in the liberal arts. As a junior and senior in the nursing program, the focus of your courses will be nursing with a few core courses. Clinical experiences will be a major part of your third and fourth years of study. If you are admitted to the nursing major at Huntington University, you will be granted clinical placement as you progress in the program with your original cohort. When you complete your BSN degree, you’ll be eligible to take the National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX-RN) for licensure as a Professional Registered Nurse (RN)
