Orientation is officially underway! We had an awesome time meeting incoming students, answering questions, and sharing what fraternity life at Marshall is all about. We’re excited to welcome new faces, build new brotherhoods, and help make Marshall feel like home. See you on campus this fall! 🦬

How has being a member in Greek Life prepared you for your future career outside of college?
Being a member of ATO has led me to become a better leader, communicator, problem solver, and a better man all around.
Also, it has taught me how to stay organized and accountable. Qualities which will carry over into every stage of life.
What is your best experience so far and why?
My best experience so far with Alpha Tau Omega here at Marshall is all the connections and friends I have met along the way.
How do you plan to balance your commitments to Greek life with your academic, social, and personal responsibilities?
I plan to continue to prioritize my academics, which have always come first. Outside of my courses, ATO has taught me exceptional time management skills which I use daily to balance between school, work, Greek life, and friends & family.

How has being a member in Greek life prepare you for your future career outside of college?
Greek life has given me such a strong sense of community found only at Marshall and Kappa Sigma. I have met so many different and interesting people, and have been pushed outside my comfort zone socially which I believe will prepare me beyond graduation.
What is your best experience so far and why?
My best greek life experience so far has been homecoming this year. The atmosphere here is electric and I love when we all come together for the football game and parade!
How do you plan to balance your commitments towards Greek life, with your academic, social, personal responsibilities?
Greek life can be really busy at times but it’s taught me to manage my time and commitments well. It’s always beneficial to look ahead and prioritize one thing at a time instead of getting overwhelmed. No matter how busy it gets greek life adds a level of fun and support that makes the process way easier!

Chapter- Kappa Sigma
1. Why and how did you join Greek life and why Kappa Sigma?
I joined Greek life looking to be apart of something bigger than myself. I also wanted to grow my connections and meet new people. I joined Kappa Sigma and never thought second about it. The hardworking, positive, and supportive atmosphere instantly drew me in and i now have brothers for life.
2. How has Greek life so far impacted your time at Marshall?
Greek life has had a massive impact on my time at Marshall. Kappa Sigma and its brothers have helped me become a better student and person by giving me the support and responsibility needed for me to grow and succeed throughout my time here at Marshall and wherever life takes me. I have also made life long friends that I never would’ve met if I wasn’t curious about Greek life.
3. What is the best thing you have done while being apart of Greek life?
One of the best things I’ve done since joining Greek life is organizing a clothing drive with brother Mali. We put in over 50 hours each with tabling to get clothes donated, sorting them, and then taking them to places that needed them. Greek life has given me a platform to be myself, give back to the community and make a positive impact on others.
