As some may know, our program experienced the sudden and heartbreaking loss of Alicia Hundley, our Infant Toddler Coach, over the weekend. Alicia was an important part of the Choices family for over 20 years. She began her career with us as a mentor for family child care providers enrolled in the ACDS program before transitioning to an Early Childhood Specialist. A short time later Alicia found her true passion as our Infant Toddler Specialist, a position she held for many years. Those who knew Alicia know that she was a true advocate for quality infant toddler care. She held many credentials and certifications related to this age group. One of the things she loved the most was sharing her knowledge with others through mentoring staff, providing professional development, and offering technical assistance to our child care providers. Her impact was felt far beyond our region as she often presented at state and national conferences. Alicia was dedicated to serving young children and child care providers. Her knowledge and passion, along with her quick wit and sense of humor, will be greatly missed. Our thoughts are with her family, friends, coworkers, and the countless others who knew and loved her as we navigate this difficult time.
