My BEAUTIFUL niece Emma and BEAUTIFUL daughter Taliyah truly have hearts of 🎗️GOLD🎗️.🥹😭💛 They will never know just how much their advocating to make this happen to show support and spread 🎗️Childhood Cancer Awareness🎗️ not only for Markai but also for EVERY Childhood Cancer Warrior, Angel and Survivor truly means to me and my Momma heart. 🥹😭🎗️💛 Emma watching her baby cousin who is more like a brother to her and Taliyah watching her baby brother go through a torturous Childhood Cancer Journey, first hand are heart breaking memories forever embedded in them and a constant reminder of just how hard the fight is for children diagnosed with cancer. A horrendous battle they watched Markai fight first hand that they both have made it a priority that he and all other children diagnosed with Childhood Cancer are NEVER to be forgotten for their courage, strength and resilience especially during the month of SEPTEMBER by organizing, supporting and spreading 🎗️Childhood Cancer Awareness🎗️. You see, it doesn’t matter if you don’t like the color GOLD. (High Schooler in need of a reality check). 🤦🏻‍♀️😡😭 Childhood Cancer doesn’t discriminate and you never know when it could be you, your child or a child in your family, next. My girl’s, Emma and Taliyah… there are not enough words to even begin to describe just how incredibly proud you BOTH make me in EVERYTHING you do. You both are just as beautiful on the inside as you are on the outside. Your character speaks volumes for the amazing young ladies you both truly are. I cannot thank you both enough and I love you both more than you’ll ever know! 💛😘💛😘

Remember…
Twenty-five years ago, our nation was attacked, and it was hard to process what I was witnessing while trying to celebrate my son Aaron’s first birthday. Fast forward to today, and I had the honor of visiting Aaron and his wife Erika, who are expecting their first baby, Adalynn, next month!
This week, I was also interviewed by three students in Mrs. Mitchell’s honors class about my memories of 9/11, giving me a meaningful way to share my experiences with my Wolves Den students.
Terrorism and opposition to freedom aren’t new. In Deuteronomy 25:17–18, we are reminded of how Amalek cowardly attacked the faint, weary, and vulnerable as Israel traveled out of Egypt. That same event led an elderly Moses to stand on the mountain, raising his arms to heaven with the support of Aaron and Hur while Joshua led the army (Exodus 17). Together, they won the day against those who sought to demoralize a nation, creating a memorial known as Jehovah-Nissi ("The Lord is my Banner").
The enemy wants us to turn on each other, destroy, and target the vulnerable. That’s the message I shared with our volleyball team this week. When we see people facing adversity, it’s easy to be a bystander. But true courage means stepping up to support and defend those who need help.
We even had the volleyball team simulate that "Moses moment"—learning that we are stronger when we lift each other up. As Fred Rogers famously said: “When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, 'Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.'”
Let’s always remember Jehovah-Nissi and choose to be the helpers. Go Wolves! 🐺✨

Another incredible blessing on Wolf Mountain tonight in the weight room for our third “Thursday Eats” of the year! 🐺🔥

The Wolves were treated to a wonderful assortment of delicious hotdogs and BBQ, generously prepared and served by our wonderful church family at Lavalette Methodist Church. We are so grateful for your continued support and dedication to these young men!

Along with a great meal, the team was taught the history of the Shield of Valor, which was first introduced to our undefeated, MSAC Champion team back in 2018. Traditionally, carrying that shield into competition demonstrates the principle found in Ephesians 6:16, where the Apostle Paul encourages us:

“Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.”

When facing adversity and tough opposition, it is vital to remember that faith defends and guards our lives as we seek victory and direction for the glory of God.
Big congratulations to "Hammer" players of the week, Colton Mathis, Cole McChristian and Ethyn Washington!

The Wolves are locked in and looking for another win tomorrow night as we face off against our MSAC rival, the Highlanders, at Joan C. Edwards Stadium.

🔥 BIG THANKS ON WOLF MOUNTAIN! 🔥

After practice on a scorching night, the Timberwolves were blessed with an amazing feast! A huge thank you to the gracious church family from F.I.M.B.C. for serving up delicious spaghetti, fettuccine, pizza, and mac-n-cheese. Praise Ye the Lord! 🙌🍝🍕

Tonight’s devotion was a powerful reminder from Mark 10:45:

"For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many."

Individual sacrifice for the success of others is what builds true character, grit, and perseverance—on and off the field. 🏈💪

Now, all eyes are on tomorrow night as the Wolves lock in for a huge MSAC matchup against Parkersburg right here at the Wolves Den! 🐺💥

Under tonight’s full moon and lunar eclipse, the Wolves gathered for a night of faith, fellowship, and great food! 🌕✨

The team was challenged to lead through serving others, drawing inspiration from Exodus 17:12—a powerful reminder that when the weight gets heavy, true leaders step in to lift each other up.

A huge thank you to the Locust Grove Baptist Men's Fellowship for treating the team to some delicious baked spaghetti, and to Donnie Irvin for bringing the high energy with an awesome live mix of Zach Williams and 70s rock! 🍝🎸🔥

Next up: Season opener AT HOME tomorrow night against our MSAC rivals! Let's bring the energy and start the season strong. Go Wolves! 🐺🏈💪

What an incredible milestone for the Timberwolves 2026 graduating class! God was truly magnified throughout the entire ceremony:

🙏 Aubrey Dishman & Evan McCormick (Senior Class Officers) beautifully opened and closed the commencement with prayers of blessing.

🎙️ Avery Ellis (Valedictorian) delivered an inspiring speech, beautifully opening with a personal praise to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Hallelujah!

We are so grateful to God for these wonderful young people and celebrate their journey. Wishing the entire Class of 2026 immense success.

May the Lord continue to bless our community and all of the Timberwolf nation! 🐺️🎓
