The Tot Spot

The Tot Spot was a licensed home daycare in Huntington with a Level 3 Paths to QUALITY rating.

It is the philosphy of The Tot Spot that children need consistency and hands on interaction and play time to be their best and learn the most. Parents are key in the success of their children in daycare and life. The Tot Spot provides a structured day, with plenty of free play, developmentally appropriate toys and learning materials and guidance for social interaction and problem solving.

Watching little ones notice, delight and question little wonders never gets old for me. This week a shadow was noticed, and then after a closer look, 3 shadows were discovered. The discovery that walking through wet grass and stepping on patio blocks leaving footprints behind was also a joy for them. They hunt for empty locust/cicada shells on a regular basis and love to find an occasional 'pig nose' lol

Happy 2nd Birthday to this little beauty! What an adventure it's been watching the transformation from sweet, easy-going infant... to busy, nature loving, fiesty and oh so smart toddler. Can't wait to see what the journey to 3 brings! ♡

Toddlers can be very emotional, selfish and stubborn, with "no" and "mine" being frequent words in their vocabulary, and meltdowns sometimes for no apparent reason. But they can also be so very sweet and loving, and those are the moments that make it all worthwhile ♡
