Welcome to Community H.E.L.P. The Community H.E.L.P Program provides assistance for students between the ages of 6 to 18 who have been diagnosed with Specific Learning Disability (S.L.D.) and/or Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (A.D.H.D.). Community H.E.L.P. provides individualized instruction to improve a student’s basic skills, placing emphasis on skills development and mastery rather than on rote memorization. Students in Community H.EL.P. are encouraged to progress “as fast as they can, but as slow as they need to.”
Individualized one-on-one academic tutoring and development
Community H.E.L.P. tutors are education specialists who work one-on-one with students to develop and improve their skills in reading, spelling, writing, math, organization, and self-esteem. Our administrators and tutors are in regular contact with parents and/or guardians regarding their student’s progress and are willing, if requested by the parent and/or guardian, to work with the student’s school to address needs, discuss interventions, and track progress. Home-schooled students welcome . . . is pleased to work with home-schooled students who have been diagnosed with a S.L.D. and/or A.D.H.D. Parents and/or guardians of students who suspect the presence of an S.L.D. that has not yet been identified are welcome to consult with the H.E.L.P. Center’s Diagnostic Services.
