What a beautiful way to begin our 2026–2027 school year! 💙🙏

Today, our students in grades 1–8 attended their first school Mass of the year. During this special celebration, each student was presented with a Miraculous Medal backpack charm.

The Miraculous Medal is more than something we wear. For Catholics, it is a reminder of the Blessed Mother’s loving intercession, God’s grace, and Mary’s continual desire to lead us closer to her Son, Jesus. When we look at the medal, we are reminded to ask Mary to pray for us and to follow her example of trust, humility, and faithful obedience to God.

This gift also helps introduce our school theme for the year:

Fiat: Living Mary’s Yes

Fiat is a Latin word meaning “Let it be done.” These words reflect Mary’s response to God’s plan for her life. Her faithful “yes” brought Jesus into the world and changed everything.

Throughout this school year, as we learn about the Blessed Mother and grow in the virtues through our Everyday Apostles Virtue Program, we will continually return to Mary’s example. She never points to herself—she always leads us to Jesus.

Our hope is that the Miraculous Medal on each student’s backpack becomes a small daily reminder:

Pray more. Trust deeper. Grow in virtue. Live your yes.
