Huntington ISD Police Department

🎒🐾 THE WAIT IS OVER… RED DEVIL NATION IS BACK!

Tomorrow, the halls of Huntington ISD will once again be filled with the sounds of laughter, lockers slamming, backpacks dropping, teachers saying, “Good morning!”… and at least one student asking, “Do we really have to go to class?” 😂

The first day of school is HERE! 📚✏️

Our Huntington ISD Police Department is ready to welcome everyone back and get the new school year off to a safe, positive, and AWESOME start.

👮‍♂️ We’ll be in the hallways.
🚔 We’ll be in the drop off lines.
🦛 We’ll be keeping an eye on those school zones.
😊 And most importantly, we’ll be here for our students, teachers, and staff.

A few first-day reminders:

🚦 Slow down in school zones. Those extra few minutes aren’t worth rushing.

📵 Stay focused behind the wheel. The phone can wait.

🚌 Watch for buses and pedestrians. Give them plenty of room and plenty of patience.

👋 Say hello to your school police officer! We promise we’re friendlier than the first-day alarm clock. 😉

And to our students: You’ve got this! Walk through those doors with confidence, be kind, make good choices, and make this year one to remember.

To our teachers and staff: Thank you for everything you do to inspire and prepare the next generation of Red Devils. We’re proud to stand alongside you.

And to our parents: Take that first-day picture, even if your child insists they’re “too old for this.” 😎📸

From our family to yours, WELCOME BACK, RED DEVIL NATION!

Let’s make the 2026–2027 school year our best one yet! All in for the win!

💙 Inspiring and Protecting Our Future.

By a joint resolution on October 1, 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed Public Law 87-726 that declared May 15th as National Peace Officers Memorial Day and the calendar week in which May 15th falls as National Police Week, the annual tribute to law enforcement service and sacrifice.
To all the men and women in law enforcement, thank you so much for what you do!! 💙👮🏻‍♂️
I am very thankful for the great men I have serving our community!!!

Tomorrow is National School Resource Officer Day but we want to say thank you to the parents first!

We are honored to serve as your School Resource Officers, building connections, ensuring safety, and being a trusted presence in your children’s daily lives. Thank you, parents, for allowing us to be a part of their journey. It’s a privilege to support, guide, and protect the amazing students on our campus every day.

Together, we create a safe and positive environment where students can thrive. We appreciate your trust and partnership!
