Come study with us! www.marshall.edu/why/international
The academic year might be over, but we are celebrating the news that Marshall University's School of Journalism & Mass Communications has achieved its first Top 10 finish in the prestigious Hearst Journalism Awards Intercollegiate Broadcast competition, placing 10th nationally in the 2025–26 rankings.
This year’s broadcast ranking marks a significant new milestone for Marshall’s journalism and broadcasting program on the national stage. “Our first-ever Top 10 finish in the national Hearst Intercollegiate Broadcast competition shows that Marshall’s School of Journalism is now going head-to-head with the very best journalism programs in the country — and competing right alongside them," said Dr. Rob Quicke, director of the school.
Congratulations to all the students involved, especially Shane Darling from WMUL, who received a national Third-Place award in the Hearst Journalism Awards Program’s Podcast competition. Marshall University
