Do to the weather at our original Arbor day we were not able to do Planting. Please join us on Saturday April 18th at Connetquot State Park for Arbor Day Part 2! We will be planting native shrubs as part of a park restoration project. We will meet at the Annex at 9am and conclude when the plants are planted. Please park in the main parking lot and walk to the Annex, there will be a staff member in the toll booth. If you have a shovel or preferred planting tools, please bring them along. Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Riverhead Historical Museum for this month’s meeting! Shout out to Evan Dackow, former Long Island Arboricultural Association president, for a great presentation on “Avoiding Interactions with the DEC from Going Sideways.” Lots of helpful insight shared with the group.

Next month we’re heading back to Croxley’s Ale House for our Annual Membership Meeting. Registration is open now, and pre-registration is appreciated. See you there!
