I met — the author of Tuesdays with Morrie, The Five People You Meet in Heaven, and now Twice. Hearing him speak reminded me that the real power of writing isn’t about being seen; it’s about seeing others — their stories, their humanity, their hopes. He was warm, witty, and deeply thoughtful, the kind of presence that reminds you why words matter. As someone still finding my way as an author, it was a quiet nudge to keep creating with purpose, not for applause but for impact.

Recently, I saw at — the same voice I’ve listened to for years on Have A Sip, suddenly right there in front of me. I skipped class, braved L.A. traffic, and convinced my partner to drive me — all for this moment. And honestly, it was worth every mile.
But what stayed with me wasn’t just her — it was the room.
A space filled with Vietnamese Americans who’ve learned to build and belong in places never designed for us. People turning barriers into bridges, speaking of struggle not as complaint, but as contribution.
And then there was — someone I’d only known by name until today. His honesty and depth of reflection caught me off guard in the best way. Listening to him felt like finding a mirror — realizing someone else has been navigating the same questions, just in a different way.
Thank you, Vietcetera, for curating a space where stories like ours can meet, connect, and grow. ❤️

Being part of the Vietnamese Catholic Student Association at as their advisor is something I’m truly proud of. 🌿 At Club Rush, I watched our students stand with excitement and joy, inviting others to join the community they’ve been building. Their passion and energy are inspiring — a reminder that leadership starts with creating spaces where faith, culture, and friendship can thrive. 💛✨
If you’ve been looking for a place to connect and grow, VCSA usually meets Wednesdays from 6–7:30PM in Language Arts 104. Come be part of the movement. 🙏

I’m excited to be part of the Mid-Autumn Festival this Sunday at 4 PM, where I’ll be doing a live reading of my bilingual children’s book. 📖
Special thanks to for inviting me to collaborate. She has a gift for creating community events that are both fun and meaningful, and this one is no exception. The event is completely free, and kids will even get a lantern to take home. 🏮✨
Hope to see you there! Please register to join us.

Grateful to share that our article is published in Teaching Times. The piece explores how AI, when thoughtfully integrated, can support—rather than replace—the human connections that make teaching meaningful. Honored to contribute to a dialogue that bridges innovation with intention.
