My view from the mat looks a little different these days, but let’s face it, my practice looks a lot different! I’m happy I rolled out my mat tonight, and grateful for my body and all it’s doing. When I was pregnant with Stella I had visions of doing yoga with her climbing all over me . . . I feel guilty it hasn’t been that way, but I’m glad I moved, glad I connected to my breath

We still have more than a week to go, but tonight is 8th grade awards and I’m feeling reflective. I hope my students learned something about themselves, something about others, and something about academics. I hope they found in me someone who values and respects them just as they are and encourages them to be the best version of themselves. I hope their teachers next year find them to be well-prepared and eager to learn. Just like all of the students who came before, this year’s group has continued to shape who I am as a teacher. I’m looking forward to a strong ending to this year, and am excited to take what I’ve learned and use it to guide me next year 💯📚📓✂️🖍📝🥰
