One year of piano. 🎹✨
Alyssa started in July 2025, and one of the most rewarding things to watch has been seeing raw natural talent develop into real musicianship.
From the beginning, she had an incredible ability to figure out entire songs that sounded WAY harder than they had any business sounding — sometimes with some absolutely wild fi*****ng choices 😂
A year later, that natural instinct is being supported by a solid technical foundation. Her discipline is sharpening, she’s constantly self-monitoring and figuring out how she can make things better, and the size and difficulty of the projects she can take on just keeps growing.
And somehow she approaches all of it with so much levity. She’s always smiling, laughing, experimenting, and enjoying the process — even while holding herself to a higher and higher standard.
This Passacaglia by Handel/Halvorsen was her longest and most difficult piece yet, and it feels like a perfect snapshot of just how much has changed in one year.
I’m incredibly proud of her — not just for how much she can play now, but for the young musician she’s becoming. ❤️🎹
