I don't know who this person is that is giving away this piano but it is such a beautiful instrument. This is a "Square Grand" from the late 1800s. Just look at all the woodwork in this. Amazing.

If you do happen upon or want this instrument - know that tuning a square grand is more expensive than a regular piano because of the design. The tuning keys are in the back of the piano so you need two people to tune it, one to play the notes and another to do the tuning. Usually at least $300 dollars to tune a square grand.

Happy day! Got a new piano tuning hammer! It’s nice - even came with a velvety carrying pouch.

The other day I was tuning and thinking “I’ve had this piano hammer for nearly 20 years, I wonder how long they last...” Crunk! And just like that a piece inside broke.

My first hammer cost me $20. This one was nearly $24 and it’s much nicer. It’s a whole $4 nicer!! (I think that’s the velvety pouch)

Today’s piano. Kohler & Campbell spinnet. It’s been refinished and looks great.
