✨ Teacher Spotlight: Ms. Majick ✨

This year is especially bittersweet as Ms. Majick celebrates her 32nd year at CUMC Preschool and her final year before retirement. A CSULB graduate and former second-grade teacher, she has dedicated decades to nurturing and inspiring young learners. When she's not in the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her two granddaughters, traveling with lifelong friends, visiting the beach, and shopping.

As we celebrate Ms. Majick and her incredible career, we invite all current and former students, families, and friends to leave a message for her in the comments or send a note to the school. We will be sure to pass along your well wishes and favorite memories as we honor her years of love, dedication, and service to our CUMC community. 💙🍎✨

There’s something so special about little hands in the dirt 🌱
Gardening teaches children patience, responsibility, teamwork, and care for the world around them. Digging, planting, watering, and getting messy together creates meaningful moments that help children connect with nature — and with each other.
The dirt washes off, but the memories, confidence, and joy they grow along the way last so much longer 💚

Our dish washing activity may look simple, but for our 2.5 –5 year olds it’s filled with meaningful learning! 🫧🍽️ Through washing, rinsing, and drying dishes, children build fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, focus, independence, and responsibility. Activities like these help develop confidence while teaching practical life skills in a fun and hands-on way. We love watching our little learners take pride in caring for their classroom environment ✨💛

The next two weeks, we’re celebrating Ms. Carol, our Teacher of the Week! 🍎✨ With 33 years in education, a heart for Pre-K, and a love for creating calm, joyful spaces for children to learn and grow, Ms. Carol brings so much warmth to our school community. When she’s not teaching, she enjoys reading, gardening, movies, music, beach walks, and volunteering at her church. We are so lucky to have her kindness, wisdom, and experience at CUMC Preschool! 💛

Spring has brought some extra magic to our classrooms with the arrival of our butterflies! 🦋 The children have loved watching the caterpillars grow and transform into chrysalis’, then finally emerge as beautiful butterflies. Releasing them throughout the week has been such an exciting and memorable experience for everyone as they watched them spread their wings and fly away! 🌸

Teacher Appreciation Week is here and we couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible teachers who pour their hearts into our classrooms every single day 💛 Take a moment to check out the schedule for simple ways to show your appreciation throughout the week—and don’t forget, you can always stop by the office if you’d like to contribute a little extra love

Bubble fun day! 🫧
We got to climb inside a giant bubble, create colorful bubble art, and blow HUGE bubbles at the water table! So much laughter, creativity, and hands-on fun all around—we had an absolute blast! 💙

With over 20+ years in early childhood education, Mrs. Jacquie brings experience and so much joy into the classroom every single day. She loves creating fun, meaningful moments for her students.

When she’s not teaching, you can find her traveling, watching movies, or enjoying a magical day at Disneyland 🏰✨
