MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT:
Dear Golden West College Community,
Trust and respect are core GWC values. And now, more than ever, we are resolute in our stand against racism, hate and discrimination. We cannot be a part of the normalization of hate against our black community, or any other minority group.
Together we must stand against structural racism and continue to educate ourselves on what that means. May we continue to sharpen our focus and work on eliminating inequities in our communities, classrooms and educational spaces.
This is not a time for silence. This is a time for us to work together for progress. At GWC, we are committed to being a voice of reason and leading the way to lasting change.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said, “In the end we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.”
