The Student Council held a takoyaki sale 🐙✨

🎏 Kodomo no Hi Celebration at OCG! 🎏
Our students had a wonderful time celebrating Children’s Day (Kodomo no Hi)! They enjoyed traditional treats like kashiwa mochi, admired colorful koinobori (carp streamers), and explored the meaning behind the kabuto, symbolizing strength and courage.
We are also proud to share that OCG showcased our students’ beautiful artwork at Tanaka Farm. What a fantastic way to celebrate creativity and culture together!
Thank you to everyone who made this special day so memorable. 🌸
Students from preschool age through high school were divided into teams and took part in a variety of events with great enthusiasm. From bean bag toss and bread race to the three-legged race and relay, the venue was filled with excitement and energy🔥 A tug-of-war and a scavenger hunt race were also held for parents, adding to the lively and cheerful atmosphere 📣
The delicious homemade anpan used in the bread race was kindly prepared by the family of an alumnus💐 We would also like to thank the teachers and parents who devoted their time and effort to the preparation and organization of the event ✨
To all students, teachers, and parents—thank you for your hard work. It was truly a memorable and meaningful day 😊
🍦✨ Sweet Learning in Action! ✨🍦
Last Saturday, our students had a blast making their very own ice cream using simple ingredients — milk, sugar, and vanilla! 🥛🍬🌿 With a little science and a lot of energy, they shook their ice mixture for 4 minutes and watched it transform into a delicious frozen treat. ❄️💪
But the fun didn’t stop there! Students also learned new Japanese words throughout the activity, combining language learning with hands-on creativity. 🇯🇵📚
Learning has never tasted so good! 😋🎉
Being part of the OCG Cooking Committee has been such a fun and meaningful experience 🌿💛
A member shared:
“I enjoy being part of the OCG family and can stay involved while my daughter is in class.”
“There are many roles—prepping, cooking, packaging, distributing, and cleaning up—so there’s something for everyone.”
“I have made friendships both in school and outside.”
More than just volunteering, it’s a joyful way to connect, contribute, and grow together as a community 😊
Our school is supported by a wonderful community of dedicated and caring parents🌟
Students from 5th grade to high school, as well as students from the Japanese 1 class, participated in the speech contest. It was truly an inspiring event! 🎤✨
Each student worked hard to create their own unique speech, memorize it, and present it with confidence in front of an audience.
It was amazing to see their dedication, courage, and growth. This contest was not only a chance to practice language and public speaking skills, but also a wonderful opportunity for students to express themselves and support one another.
We are so proud of every single participant! Great job, everyone! And congratulations to all the winners! 👏🌟
We held the “2025 Orange Coast Gakuen Speech Performance” with students from kindergarten through 4th grade 🌟
Each student gave a speech on an assigned topic, delivering their presentations with great effort and confidence ✨
All of the students worked very hard in preparation for this day, and it truly showed in their performances. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to present the results of their dedication 👏
Seeing the growth of every student made the day both meaningful and rewarding 😊
