From the Classroom to New York Fashion Week

Li Shen made her New York Fashion Week debut this fall, presenting 20 original cultural-fusion designs celebrating Eastern and Western influences. Two of her designs were also featured in Harper’s Bazaar.

Shen brought the experience back to Juniata, taking her Fashion Marketing Management students to a runway show as part of a course field trip. The opportunity connected classroom learning with firsthand industry experience, reflecting Juniata’s commitment to experiential education.

Starting with students entering Juniata in Fall 2027, eligible Pennsylvania students may qualify for institutional scholarships and financial aid covering 100% of tuition.

To qualify, students must be admitted to Juniata, have at least a 3.4 high school GPA, have a family adjusted gross income of $100,000 or less, be Pennsylvania residents, and live on campus.

A bowl of soup. A handmade bowl to take home. A community coming together for a good cause.

Join us Friday, Oct. 9, from 5-7 p.m. as Juniata's Empty Bowls celebrates 20 years of fighting food insecurity in Huntingdon County!

Browse and purchase handmade bowls at the Juniata College Museum of Art, explore the special 20th anniversary exhibition, and enjoy soup and refreshments at the nearby Stone Church of the Brethren.

Since its founding, Empty Bowls has raised more than $98,000 for local food banks, food pantries, and the Huntingdon County Area Elementary School Backpack Program. Every dollar raised supports organizations addressing food insecurity in our community.

The Legal Eagles are off to a strong start.

Juniata’s Mock Trial teams opened their invitational season at the Demon Deacon Invitational at Wake Forest University, with Team A earning second place and Team B taking third out of a competitive field from across the country.

The teams also brought home two individual honors: Zachary Riggall ’29 earned an Outstanding Attorney Award, while Maddie Herold ’28 earned an Outstanding Witness Award with a perfect score.

The bowls are back, and this year marks 20 years of Empty Bowls at Juniata!

The online store opens at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, featuring 200 handmade bowls created by Juniata students, faculty, and friends. Choose a one-of-a-kind bowl and help support local food banks, food pantries, and the Huntingdon County Area Elementary School Backpack Program.

The online collection typically sells out within 24 to 48 hours, so don't wait too long!

Want to celebrate in person? Join us Friday, Oct. 9, from 5-7 p.m. at the Juniata College Museum of Art for the bowl sale, with soup and refreshments served just a short walk away at the Stone Church of the Brethren.
