🦋 From Caterpillar to Butterfly: Learning in Action! 🦋

Mrs. McNeal’s Environmental Science students have been getting a front-row seat to one of nature’s most incredible transformations. Over the past several weeks, the class has had the opportunity to watch monarch caterpillars grow and transform through each stage of their life cycle, from caterpillar to chrysalis and, finally, into beautiful monarch butterflies.

This week, the learning experience reached an exciting milestone as the class released its first monarch butterfly into the wild!

It’s hands-on learning like this that brings science to life and gives students the chance to experience the concepts they’re learning about right in front of them.

From the classroom to the great outdoors, New Day students are learning, exploring, and growing every day! 💙💛

🚨 LEADER OF THE PRIDE ALERT! 🚨

Help us give a BIG New Day welcome to our September Leader of the Pride, Lila Pratt!

Lila is a senior who joined the New Day family this year, and she has already made a wonderful impact on our school community. She has quickly established herself as a hardworking, dependable student who comes to school ready to learn and give her best effort each day.

We’re so glad Lila chose to make New Day part of her senior year, and we’re proud of everything she has already brought to our school. Keep doing your thing, Lila! We’re excited to see what this year holds for you! 🐾💙
