Carroll Academy is looking for a full-time licensed English Teacher (6–12) who’s ready to do things a little different… in a good way.

We had a great day at Carroll Academy thanks to Maleia Evans and Ginger Powell from the West Tennessee Workforce Board. They brought VR headsets and gave our students a chance to step into different careers without ever leaving the classroom.

From hands-on trades to technical fields, students were able to explore real-world pathways in a way that actually felt real. For some, it opened their eyes to opportunities they hadn’t considered before.

We appreciate partners like the West Tennessee Workforce Board for helping us connect our students to what’s possible after Carroll Academy.

Big things happened at Carroll Academy this past week 👏

A few of our future graduates stepped into a 5-day Workforce Readiness Program focused on building real skills, confidence, and a pathway into Advanced Manufacturing. This isn’t just sitting in a classroom…this is hands-on preparation for what comes next.

On Friday, our students walked away with:
• OSHA 10 General Industry Card
• Certificate of Completion from the University of Tennessee Center for Industrial Services
• $500 stipend for completing the program

This is what we mean by preparing students for the real world—skills, credentials, and connections.

• A TN Licensed Teacher (English 6–12)
• A Construction Teacher with at least 3 years of experience to teach part-time through dual-enrollment with TCAT
