So 2024 started out eventful here on the farm. We don’t usually have a winter kidding season for obvious reasons. Well with the storms we had during the early to late summer trees were downed on fences and pens. Needless to say that all of the girls here decided to be super friendly and get themselves knocked up and kid in January. The first momma to go was one of my new girls and she surprised me with Triplets on December 27, 2023. Then the next set babies were also triplets born on my birthday 1-2-2024, 3rd set of triplets born that night also. January 3 came quads, and another set of triplets. This went on until around the January 11th. One momma still to go. With that being said they are going to be some kids looking for new homes very very soon. I will post our final count in the next day or so and who will be available for new homes. This kidding season has just burned into my mind why we do NOT breed to kid in the winter. Too much heart break and too many chances for this to go terribly wrong.
With all that being said I just wanted to post some pics of the cuties born this season. Enjoy the cuteness

Well kidding season 22-23 has slowed down for now I have one last momma due in June ( she was a late bloomer) so here is the count for now:
2 sets of Triplets
3 sets of twins
4 singles
8 girls 8 boys
One set of triplets were born by way of emergency C-section and momma was too worn out and in pain to feed or or really even mess with them so they had to be bottle fed. All in all we have had a pretty good kidding season, very busy but well worth it all! All of us here at RJ’s G.O.A.T Misfits Farm hope that you enjoy all the baby goat cuteness on this blessed Saturday! I will post more pics and videos later when I get slowed down again. Until then lots of love and precious goat cuddles to everyone

Happy New Year to all of my Goat people. I know I haven’t made a post lately, I decided to take a break from social media for a bit. While I was on break from social media we a wonderful kidding season well for my Nigerians anyway. we had 3 sets of twins and one of my first time moms had QUADS😱, Puddin showed up and showed out. But unfortunately as most any goat owners can tell you “for whatever reason some don’t survive”. We had a total of 15 kids born 4 stillborn and 1 had complications during birth. We also lost Our Boer herd sire JD, suddenly💔. Our little farm has been through a rough round of heartbreak in the past 18 months since losing our home to a fire. That is the main reason I took a break from social media. Every loss is personal for me and takes a little bit to recover from.
I appreciate those of you who stuck around. We are back and I promise to try and be more active on our page from here on out.

I know it's been a while since I last posted. Things on the farm have been busy busy busy. Our kidding season got off to a bit of a rough start but as we are now in the closing stretch (only 1 momma left to go) We had 7 pregnant Does 4 being FF.
We lost 5 out of 14 babies. Every loss is hard but I've never lost any babies until this season so it was really tough. So far it has been an even race 7 doelings 7 bucklings. I will post pics later today when I get some better pics of them all. 3 of the 9 are bottles babies 🤦 but I wouldn't trade it for the world. Definitely has been a learning experience. With that being said there will be some bucklings/ or wethers ( I can band if need be) looking for greener pastures pretty soon. I know this is a long post and I'm sorry for that I'll do better next time. Wishing y'all Lots of love and laughter from all of us Misfits here on the farm!!!!!

It's looking like we have a couple momma's about to pop. They are broad as the barn and starting to do that waddle, lol. Excited to see if we get boys or girls with these 2. My one momma has been pretty consistent with having boys then girls next then boys and so on. The second momma has kidded twice only giving singles each time boy first time and a little girl the second time. Fingers crossed she has twins with as big as she is getting. We will keep y'all updated as time gets closer.
