“The desire to write grows with writing” - Erasmus. At Twin Willows we provide multiple opportunities to experiment with and interact with language. Exposure to literacy activities includes but isn’t limited to: conversations, read alouds, functional literacy and building background knowledge.

“There is no better designer than nature”- Alexander McQueen. At Twin Willows we aim to learn from the natural world and the creative both inside the four walls of our classroom and outside in the natural environment.

Loose parts play is a critical part of our day. Whether it’s sticks and corn or something else we are fostering limitless play opportunities because these items have no predefined purpose. This play based approach leads to the development of problem solving skills and social collaboration.

Sometimes the smallest change to the environment invites the most learning. Our goal is to provide rich hands-on learning experiences every day.

We’ve had a busy day already- went to Charlotte Innovation Barn for some materials for next year and are at the Tanners Creek spring festival right now. Come make some nature playdoh and learn more about our school.
