Great teaching starts with intentional planning! Our teachers are working together to prepare engaging reading lessons that will inspire our students, strengthen literacy skills, and support academic growth.

When educators collaborate, share ideas, and plan with purpose, our students benefit! Every lesson is an opportunity to make an impact, and we’re proud of the dedication our teachers bring to helping every student succeed. 💙📖

The future of mathematics instruction at JMA!

Our dedicated math team recently attended the Modern Classroom Project Professional Development workshop, gaining tools and strategies to transform their classrooms into student-centered, mastery-based learning environments. We believe that every student can excel in math, and we are investing in our teachers to make it happen.

Look at those smiles—they are ready to change the equation for student success! Stay tuned for updates on how we are applying these innovative methods in our school. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools

🎉 WE DID IT, JMA! 🎉

Today, we are celebrating a BIG step forward at J.M. Alexander Middle School!

📈 Our school report card grade has improved from an F to a D!

And there’s even more reason to celebrate — the last time J.M. Alexander earned a D was in 2020. This moment represents years of hard work, perseverance, dedication, and a commitment to our students.

This is more than just a letter grade. It’s evidence of progress. It reflects our students who continue to show up and grow, our teachers and staff who pour into them every day, and our families and community who continue to stand beside us.

💙 We are proud of how far we’ve come.
🤍We are grateful for everyone who helped us get here.
💙 And we are excited about where we’re going next!

From an F to a D… and we’re not stopping here!

One team. One mission. Brighter futures.
