Ellen Solbakken and I have started working on a new manual for Making Great Readers that will target parents and preschools. If there are any areas that you think that we might need to address, please let us know. One area we are planning to address is capitals vs. lower case letters.

Four of the schools are CS Partners Schools of Howell, Michigan-Charyl Stockwell Academy in Howell, MI., Huron Academy in Sterling Heights, MI., Crescent Academy in Southfield MI. and Academy of Detroit West in Redford, MI. The fifth school is Guyton Elementary in Guyton GA. I made a second visit to Guyton September 9thand 10th and the teachers and kids are doing a GREAT job.

I would like to let everyone know that in the last 4 weeks I have worked with five schools. Fifty-four classroom teachers plus some other staff members will be using Making Great Readers this year. I would like to thank all these teachers for getting out of their comfort zone. Trying something new and different is not easy. However; I believe it will make a difference for the young learner.
