Phoenix Montessori Academy A Private Montessori school for children ages 18 months to high school.

Since 2004, PMA has created a loving and nurturing environment where the well-being and development of the child is paramount.

📍Located in Huntersville, NC Phoenix Montessori Academy is an independent, non-profit school, educating students from ages 18 months to 18 years (Toddler through 12th grade). Our school was established June 19, 2004 and the first class was held on September 7, 2004. The school was founded by a group of concerned parents and a seasoned teacher, all committed to creating a loving and nurturing environment where the well-being and development of the child is paramount. Our offerings currently include toddler, primary, lower elementary, upper elementary, middle school and high school classes. Additionally, our children enjoy enrichment courses in Physical Education, Art, Music, Chorus, and Chinese.

What does peace look like to you?

That was the question PMA students Shabaka, Raja, and Devarsh asked our school community in recognition of International Day of Peace.

The question is simple. The answers are anything but.

Created as part of their Global Studies class, this video reminds us of something at the heart of Montessori education: peace isn't simply something we hope for. It's something we learn to build.

Through the voices of our students and teachers, we're reminded that peace begins with listening, understanding, and recognizing our shared humanity.

Today, we invite you to do exactly what our students asked.

Close your eyes. Imagine peace. Then open them and consider what you can do to help create it. 🌎
