🌞 Good morning, Huntersville! We’re getting into late August on the calendar, and if those school bells haven't already started ringing for you, they're about to! 🔔📚
A few of our local schools are already back in session, and the rest within the Charlotte-Mecklenburg system will be returning on Tuesday, Aug. 25. That means the familiar sights of buses, carpool lines, student drop-offs and … yep, SCHOOL TRAFFIC🚗🚌 … are about to become part of the daily routine again.
To help everyone get ready, we’re rolling out the first eight of our 16 school traffic patterns for the new school year. 👮♂️🚦The next eight will be posted at noon today.
If your child is starting at one of these schools for the first time, or if you simply want to avoid any surprises, we encourage you to take a few minutes this week to drive the routes and familiarize yourself with the traffic patterns before the morning rush begins.
And remember: traffic is going to be heavier. We promise! 😅 So give yourself some extra time, expect delays and, most importantly, bring a little patience with you. We’ll all get where we need to go. 👍
