We are excited to welcome Tim Johnson to the Ambassador Christian School family as our new Assistant Director of Student Advising & College Athletic Recruiting Coordinator!
Tim brings more than a decade of experience in NCAA Division I athletics, where he built a reputation as a trusted mentor, relationship builder, and leader committed to developing student-athletes both on and off the court. His extensive background in collegiate recruiting and player development will provide a valuable resource as ACS students prepare for their futures.
During his coaching career, Tim was part of seven 20-win seasons, three NCAA Tournament appearances, five postseason berths, and multiple conference championship teams. At Furman University, he helped the Paladins achieve historic success, including a Southern Conference Tournament Championship and the program’s first NCAA Tournament appearance in more than four decades. He also served as the player development coach for 2023 NBA Draft selection Jalen Slawson and became recognized as one of the Southern Conference’s top recruiters and player development coaches.
Throughout his career, Tim has been passionate about helping young people reach their potential. He has worked with countless student-athletes and families, helping them find opportunities that align with their academic, athletic, and personal goals.
A former men’s basketball standout at Wofford College, Tim remains the school’s all-time leading rebounder with 1,002 career rebounds and was inducted into the Wofford Athletics Hall of Fame in 2016. He earned his bachelor’s degree in English from Wofford College and a master’s degree in Communications from the University of Wyoming.
Tim and his wife, Brittany, have three children: Westin, Londyn, and Jasmin.
