Playwise Preschool Academy

Some serious learning has been happening at Playwise in the past few weeks. Our 3s have been learning about oviparous animals and making sets. Our Pre-K students have been distinguishing medial vowel sounds in CVC words, practicing addition strategies, and counting by 10s. Our TK students have been learning consonant blends and working on sequence writing. It’s not all fun and games around here…oh, who are we kidding….it is PURELY fun and games!

From making playdough gingerbread cookies and decorating trees to tasting latkes and spinning dreidels, nothing beats the excitement and joy in the air during the holidays!

This morning, our teachers volunteered at Mooresville’s Kindness Closet, which donates hygiene kits to families and students who need them. The founder, Anne, is inspiring, and her wonderful program helps so many people in NC!

Our students had the BEST time at the farm during our fall field trips! Thank you to Susan at Sweetwater Farms for providing such a special place for children to play and explore!

There’s nothing better than playing - and learning - outdoors!

Learning about various cultural traditons is an important part of our curriculum. This week, we learned about Diwali, the Festival of Lights. Our students made their own versions of beautiful rangoli!
