The Maryland Board posted a scope guidance document, and the local esthetic world went into a panic. Here is the part that got lost.

That list is a guidance document. It is not a law, and it is not a regulation. Laws are written by the legislature. Regulations go through the Maryland Register with a public comment period. This document did neither.

As a licensed professional, know that you have the right to written notice and a formal hearing if you are ever cited, and know your scope of practice, which right now includes the beautification of the eyelashes or eyebrows.
