I absolutely love uncovering history at the Miles Ranch!!! While cleaning the lean-to of the barn I found this plaque. D. F. Harbaugh was a famous lawman in Kansas and Nebraska. In the very early 1900’s he became the general manager of the Miles Ranch until about 1914 when he retired. This lean-to of the barn is likely where a carriage and/or wagons were stored.

We created some wonderful memories today while hosting members of the Heartland Fine Arts Galery. We enjoyed lunch at the Miles Ranch followed by a history talk and a private tour of the historic property. At Heartland Fine Arts Galery you will find art work by amazingly talented local artists and a fun environment to learn about art. Located in downtown Falls City, they are a must stop.
