Our students had so much fun learning about and exploring their five senses this week!

Our Kindergarten class put their sense of smell to the test with a “Can You Guess That Smell?” activity, along with a few other fun experiments. PK3 enjoyed a taste test, while PK4 used their sense of touch to guess what was hiding inside the mystery box and also made a 5 senses bear!

It was a week full of hands-on learning, exploring, and lots of fun. We love watching our students learn through experiences that get them thinking, discovering, and using all five senses!

We hope all of our Academy families enjoy a safe, fun, and relaxing Labor Day weekend! We’re looking forward to our three-day weekend and will see everyone back on Tuesday!

The Academy at Rowland Ballard Preschool/Kindergarten just wrapped up Week 3, and it was one of our favorites, “All About Me” Week!

This special week gives us the opportunity to learn even more about each of our students and celebrate all the little things that make them unique. Our students were so proud to stand in front of their classmates and share their “All About Me” posters! We learned about their favorite colors, foods, activities, families, and so much more.

We loved seeing their excitement and confidence as they shared a little piece of themselves with their friends and teachers. What a fun way to celebrate the amazing personalities that make up our Academy family!

We just wrapped up our second week at The Academy at Rowland Ballard Preschool/Kindergarten, and what a great week it was!

This week, our students focused on friendship and mindfulness. We talked about red choices and green choices and how the choices we make can affect our friends and their feelings.

We also created special “This Class Is a Family” bracelets as a sweet reminder that our classrooms are places where everyone belongs, supports one another, and grows together.

Ms. Mathews’ class also completed their first directed drawing, inspired by The Color Monster, as they explored emotions and learned how to better understand and express their feelings.

Another wonderful week of learning, growing, creating, and building friendships at The Academy! We can’t wait to see what next week brings!

What an amazing first week of school at The Academy at Rowland Ballard Preschool/Kindergarten

Our teachers may be a little exhausted, but seeing our students so happy, excited, and already settling into their new classrooms makes it all worth it! We’ve spent this first week getting to know one another, making new friends, learning classroom routines, and introducing our school rules and expectations.

And we’re just getting started! Our students will enjoy a school year filled with learning, movement, creativity, and fun. Along with academics, our school day includes gymnastics, dance, open gym, and Spanish, all included in tuition!

We’re also excited to introduce Spanish workbooks for our Kindergarten students this year, adding even more to our growing Kindergarten program!

What an amazing first day of our Fall Semester at The Academy at Rowland Ballard Preschool/Kindergarten! 🍎

Our classrooms were filled with smiling faces, new friendships, learning, and lots of excitement for the year ahead. We loved welcoming our students back and meeting so many of our new Academy families!

Tomorrow, we’re excited to welcome our part-time students, along with a few friends who weren’t able to join us today. 🥰
We are officially off to a wonderful start and can’t wait to see all the learning, growing, and memories this school year will bring! Here’s to an incredible 2026–2027 school year!

We didn’t take many photos during our final week of summer because we were too busy soaking up every last moment with our students, especially those who won’t be returning for the fall.

What a wonderful summer it has been! ☀️ From busy days and lots of fun to sweet memories and friendships, it truly flew by. We are going to miss the students who are moving on, but we are so grateful we got to be a part of their summer.

Now our classrooms are ready, our teachers are excited, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back for the start of our Fall Semester on August 10th! 🍎

🌞 What an incredible summer it's been! We just wrapped up Week 9 of Summer at The Academy at Rowland Ballard Preschool/Kindergarten, and what a fun way to end the week with our Space Theme!

Our students had an amazing time exploring the wonders of space by creating astronaut helmets, learning about the planets, building their own space shuttles, and designing constellations with marshmallows and toothpicks. Watching their excitement and curiosity grow is what makes every week so special!

A huge thank you to our amazing teachers for making learning creative, hands-on, and fun every single day. ❤️

Pirate & Mermaid Week was a huge success! What a fun way to wrap up another exciting week of summer!

With only 2 weeks of summer remaining, we're getting excited to welcome our families for the start of our Fall Semester on August 10th!
