Remembering…….Stevie Ray Vaughan

On August 27, 1990, the music world lost Stevie Ray Vaughan in a tragic helicopter crash. It’s now the 35th anniversary of his passing, yet his fire still burns in every note of his music. With his Stratocaster “Number One” in hand, SRV brought blues roaring back into the mainstream during the 1980s, blending raw power, soul, and dazzling technique.

Albums like Texas Flood, Couldn’t Stand the Weather, and In Step reminded fans that the blues could be as thrilling as any rock show. His live performances were legendary, pouring heart and soul into every song. Though gone far too soon at 35, Stevie Ray Vaughan’s influence on guitarists and fans alike is timeless. Today, we honor his spirit and the music that will never fade.
