Professor Braatz Mathematics Tutoring Services

Professor Braatz Mathematics Tutoring Services Individual, group, and co-op tutoring options available in-person or virtual. I was. and still am, driven by my love for both the subject and teaching.

My journey as a passionate mathematics educator began while tutoring as an undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh. I graduated from UW-Oshkosh with a B.S.E. in mathematics education and a license to teach in the state of Wisconsin. During the beginning years of my teaching career, I instructed middle and high school mathematics while earning two masters degrees; one in Mathematics E

ducation and the other in Economics from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and Milwaukee, respectively. After completing my education, I continued instructing high school courses during the day and community college courses during the evening and on weekends. While my children were young, I transitioned to educating at the collegiate level and remained doing so until my family moved to Texas in 2013; at which time I took a fulltime position as a mathematics professor for the largest community college in Texas. During my tenure as a professor at LSC, I developed a reputation for my engaging teaching style and ability to make complex mathematical concepts accessible to students of all levels. My dedication to my students' success went beyond the classroom, as I frequently volunteered my time for one-on-one tutoring sessions, mentoring programs and academic clubs. I was a lead faculty member and additionally instructed advanced courses as the assistant director of the honors college. My reputation speaks for itself on the site www.ratemyprofessor.com. After two decades of working with students in the public setting, I felt a calling to make an even broader impact on mathematics education, and that of my own children, provided by the freedom of the homeschooling community. Today, I work with both students and parents to provide a personalized educational experience that can't be reached through public schools alone. I do this as both a mathematics curriculum consultant and a free-lance educator. I offer individual, group and coop services to homeschool students and groups, students attending private and public k12, as well as individuals completing collegiate courses.
