Cornerstone is conveniently located near the Festival Foods shopping center and next to the Water's Edge housing development just north of Frenchman Road. Cornerstone Early Learning Center of Hugo is dedicated to providing the children in our care with a comprehensive program that will stimulate, challenge, and encourage them to become learners for a lifetime. We believe that the spiritual aspect

of development is essential to a child’s overall development. It is this very aspect of our program that sets Cornerstone apart from many other early childhood programs. We are committed to providing opportunities to:
• Develop intellectually by providing developmentally appropriate activities in communication skills, science, literacy, and math readiness
• Develop physically through play activities that develop a child’s large and fine motor skills
• Develop socially through interactions which are based upon respect and concern for others
• Develop creatively through opportunities to develop talents in art, music, movement dramatic play

This week at Cornerstone!! It’s been awhile!
🏀⚽️⚾️🏈🚒🚒🚨🚨

The Infants focused on their Father’s Day projects and new bulletin and door art and learned new songs for the week as well as enjoying new puzzles and books in their library.
The Toddler room theme was Pixar this week with lots of art corresponding to different movies. And they focused on their Father’s Day activities. Preschool had an ocean theme this week and learned about different animals, their habitats and more. They too focused on their Father’s Day Projects for the event on Friday.
Toddler through Prek enjoyed visits from the Hugo Fire Department on Wednesday which was so fun! The kids got to sit in the truck and talk with some firefighters-As well as a visit from Amazing Athletes on Thursday where they learned about different sports and skills.

THIS WEEK AT CORNERSTONE😃🎉
Bible story: Story of the Fiery Furnace

The Infant room went on some walks this week to enjoy the weather and explored the grass, wood chips, and leaves. They also played in a sensory bin with cucumbers and water, and are working on placing rings on a ring stacker.

The Transition room did an earthquake marble paint craft, Earth Day handprints, had fun bowling to practice physical activity, enjoyed a frozen dinosaur activity, and planted a classroom flower.

The Toddler room did earth day handprints, earth day counting sheets, color turtles, flower project, and stamping earth day project. They also read about “Every Planet Has A Place by Becky Baines” and “Seeds by Vijaya Khisty”. They loved the toddler and preschool play date that was outside!


This week the Preschoolers loved the Bible story about the fiery furnace, and are learning about Earth. They learned how to take care of the planet and were taught about recycling and what items can be recycled and which items cannot be recycled. They learned the importance of picking up our trash, how trees for us oxygen and more. They also learned about the shape of a circle and the color pink.

The Preschoolers are planning to sing in church on April 12 with Ms. Jodi. Today after chapel they got to practice as the transition and infant room cheered them on💕✝️

This week at Cornerstone ✝️🐣 🐰 💕
Bible story: Easter stories series!

The Infant room explored cotton balls, and Easter eggs, made Easter pictures, practiced rolling over, and standing up either on their own or with assistance.

The Transition room did a sensory alphabet Easter egg bin. They did Spring cookie cutter play, painted Easter chicks with a kitchen fork, and counted Easter, eggs, and decorated paper Easter eggs.

The Toddler room did an Easter egg water color painting! Made a Cross stamping painting for Easter. They learned about the First Easter through Bible story-time, and had a preschool play date!

This week the Preschoolers focused on learning about the true meaning of Easter. They did many fun Easter arts crafts. Preschool also had an Easter Egg hunt for fun!
