The art of beading has been a cherished tradition passed down through numerous generations among the Choctaw people. Despite evolving bead types and patterns over time, we continue to attribute significance and appreciation to the exquisite beauty and intricate craftsmanship involved in beadwork.
Historically, Choctaw women have been the primary practitioners of this art form. They skillfully crafted pieces that portrayed various aspects of Choctaw culture and beliefs. Learn more about traditional beading at bit.ly/3ZyyrRR.
