It’s the littlest things that make a big difference! Our PTC organized a “Chalk the Walk” event to welcome our students and their families. Our teachers gave tours and our playgrounds were finally filled with the sounds of joy and laughter that had been missing. It was a great first day! All of these little things and little people let us know that this is a pretty remarkable place.

The HES staff spent the day learning together. While our classified staff went through their mandated training, our certificated staff, pictured here, worked together to focus on doing things to continuously improve instruction. We can’t wait for Tuesday when our students return! 💛🖤

Big things are happening for our littlest learners! Pardon our dust 🧹as our crews deep clean 🧼 classrooms, install our new playground equipment 🛝, and get HES ready for our big return on August 11 📚. We can’t wait to have our students back!

On Wednesday, July 8, 2026 local law enforcement, fire services, and medical personnel will be conducting a joint training exercise at Hughson Elementary, Fox Elementary, and Ross Middle School between 6:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Community members can expect to see a noticeable presence of emergency vehicles and first responders in these areas. This event will not impact emergency services.

Please stay away from these campuses during this time and please don't be alarmed by the large presence of emergency vehicles and first responders. This is a standard, planned exercise to help our local teams stay prepared, and it will not impact community emergency services.
