We wrapped up our 5 Senses Unit with a little Fun Friday sensory testing! 🖐🏼👃🏼👅

I set up 3 simple centers for the kids to rotate through:

🖐🏼 Mystery Bags — feel it, think about it, and try to figure out what’s inside without looking!

👃🏼 Smell Jars — sniff, guess, and see if your nose was right!

👅 Taste Testing — trying different flavors and talking about what we tasted. This one definitely brought out some of the funniest reactions 😂

I LOVE watching them work through these kinds of activities. They’re touching, smelling, tasting, making predictions, talking with their friends… and they’re learning the whole time without even realizing it. 🥹💕

Today’s sensory bin was filled with black beans + letter beads, and the kids were on a mission to find the letters in their names and spell them out! 🔎🔤

They were working those little fingers, practicing letter recognition, name skills, and fine motor control… all while thinking they were just playing in beans. 😉👏🏼

Honestly, these are my favorite kinds of activities — the ones where they’re having SO much fun they don’t even realize how much learning is happening.

✨FIRST DAY OF TK✨

I have 25 new besties 🥹💗
✂️ We pulled out the scissors on DAY ONE
📚 Read the silliest story
🧸 Played ALL the things (their imaginations are unmatched!)
😂 Laughed A LOT
💗 && lived our absolute BEST first day of TK life.

There was definitely some chaos, not nearly enough coffee ☕️, and approximately 847 little moments that made me smile… but honestly, it wouldn’t be the first day of TK if it wasn’t. 😂💗

Day 1 = officially one for the books. 🥹✨
Here’s to another year full of little moments, big feelings, lots of learning, and probably a little chaos. ☕️💗

Year 2 of TK… LET’S GOOOOO. ✨

✨ My top THREE most important school supplies for a smooth start to the year! 🩷

🎒 A backpack that’s big enough to fit folders and papers (yes, even for the littlest learners!)
💧 A water bottle to keep those busy brains hydrated.
👕 A change of clothes in a labeled Ziploc bag… because accidents happen, and we’d rather be prepared (don’t forget socks😉!)

And if you only remember ONE thing from this post… LABEL. EVERYTHING. 🙌 Backpacks, water bottles, lunch boxes, jackets, sweaters… all of it! It makes getting lost items back to their owners so much easier.
