For the last decade we celebrate the amazing life and spirit of my nephew Tony Johnson USMC by posting pictures of family and friends wearing his favorite attire- Flannel!
Tony - We will never forget you and all the goodness that you brought to our lives. I remain in awe of your service to our country and the sacrifices you made. Ten years ago I posted that I look forward to telling my grandchildren about your kind sweet spirit and what a good man you were. Tomorrow I will be able to make this happen- my oldest Grandson will turn 5 and I will have the honor to share your story! I will share this picture of an old flannel shirt and explain that the character of a man is not in outward appearance but in the way he carries himself and the Love he leaves wherever he goes. Rest in peace with those that have gone before and know that your life is now affecting a new generation …..we love you and miss you - the hope of heaven and reuniting with you keeps us all moving forward!
