The first week of school is full of introductions—teachers learning names, students learning routines, everyone finding their place.

But a walk around the school tells a deeper story.
Teachers are intentionally creating space to get to know their students. Students are stepping into the hallway for one-on-one conversations. Teachers are lingering between activities to ask questions, listen to stories, and learn a little more about the child standing in front of them.

And in those small conversations, students are finding that they are seen, heard, and known.

Join us Monday, August 24 from 5:30-7:00 PM for the Open House and Expo!

This is a night for students in Young 5s-8th grade and their parents to tour the school buildings, see their classrooms, and say a quick “hello” to their teacher(s)!

An EXPO at the elementary building will feature many HCS events and programs so you can gain additional info on the Parents’ Club, Game Club, Robotics, and much more!

We’d love for you and your student to join us for a fun morning on the playground next week! It’s a great chance for students to play, meet new friends, and get excited for the school year, while parents have a chance to connect, too. Siblings of all ages are welcome!
