What are the three most important decisions a person will make in life?
Today in chapel, Pastor Sawyer challenged our students from Joshua 24 to consider three areas that will shape the direction of their lives:
The LORD -- Whom will I serve?
LOVE -- Whom will I marry and build my life with?
LABOR -- What work will God call me to do?
Long before our children choose a career, a college, or even where they will live, they need to settle the most important question:
“Choose you this day whom ye will serve…” — Joshua 24:15
Friends of HCS, may we never underestimate the influence we have in helping the next generation make these decisions wisely. Let’s pray for our young people, talk with them about these choices, and most importantly, live before them an example worth following.
Our prayer is that every student would be able to say with Joshua:
“…but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” — Joshua 24:15
We are thankful for another great chapel service and for the opportunity to invest not only in the education of our students, but in the direction of their lives! 🦅
